Located just 2 miles from Galway city center, Glenlo Abbey Hotel offers 5-star accommodations, free parking, a golf course, and views of Lough Corrib and the dramatic West of Ireland landscape. The grounds are gorgeous. But what really stood out to us wasn’t just the beauty of the hotel itself but the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable. From the bartender who called us a cab and told us we’re to go to “find the crack” to Troy who gave us advice on where we should go while visiting the cliffs of Moher. Everyone was helpful and super hospitable.

I met some very friendly people in Galway! Locals are very nice and helpful. There were so many pubs to see, but it got incredibly packed and busy - hard to move around kind busy! I really enjoyed Dail's pub. Nice, calmer atmosphere and great food. The Museum of Glaway was a really great museum and it was free! It was a wonderful look at Irish history. It rained the whole time I was there and my feet were always wet, I highly recommend finding the best options for waterproof shoes and socks that you can find!
We stayed here because I had a different idea of the city. I am not sure if it was the location of the hotel , our stay was too short or we were just coming from Killarney and had that experience to compare with. We went to watch a movie though that was located at the back of the hotel . The cinema was not clean at all . Our taxi service was excellent. The day tour was too long and we were transferred to another company before leaving the city. The food at the Huntsman Inn was delicious .
Galway is a wonderful town with plenty of good restaurants, music venues, shops, parks and friendly people. Good just to get out and walk around. Also the starting point for ferries to the Aran Islands.
Lovely town...ate at Brasserie restaurant for steaks which was delicious - little pricey but good. Also great pizzeria Amore Pizza which was recently opened about month ago. From New York and this pizza was excellent - lovely little place - reasonably priced but most important the Pizza was delicious; shopping and day tour options in abundance
Galway is just another large village with lots of shops, etc. Highlight of our stay was taking Ferry to Aran Islands. Excellent and should not be missed. Also the Skee Hotel in Galway is absolutely gorgeous built in 1850 and worth visiting- enjoy the bar and restaurant there if you don't stay there.
Incredible stop. Everything about Galway is fun. Jenny Shaw, General Manager for Jurys Inn set the bar very high as she resolved a minor issue with our online booking. Fabulous stay from that point on.
